As of Friday, September 30, 2022, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) reported the following coronavirus cases and totals for the state:
- 1,455,290 total cases - 840 new cases
- 18,066 total deaths - 8 new deaths
- 216 patients in hospitals - decrease of 3 patients
- 15 patients on ventilators - increase of 15 patients

“Because of the daily removal of newly identified duplicates and out-of-state cases, the new case increase may not match the difference between today’s and yesterday’s total case count,” LDH says.
